Big things are happening in Pakistan. Our film and entertainment industry is growing day by day and our stars are now crossing international borders on a regular basis. Here’s what happened this week!

Mahira Fever

img_15-7-17_10Mahira Khan was in Beirut earlier this week for a very special reason. The Raees star was invited to receive the International Icon award at the 8th Beirut International Awards Festival. As if that wasn’t an honour enough, Khan also ended up winning the Best Dressed award which was very well deserved. Dressed in a voluminous white gown by Lebanese couturier Nicholas Jebran, Khan looked every bit the International Icon that she is!

That wasn’t the last we saw of Khan this week though. Lucky for us, we caught her at the launch of her new Lux ad, alongside the newest addition to the Lux family, Mawra Hocane. Maya Ali, the third star in the ad, was missed at the red carpet (Ali was busy shooting Teefa in Trouble in Poland).

Film Promotions

img_15-7-17_11Film promotions are in full swing as the next couple of months will be seeing the release of several big-budgeted films. The Humayun Saeed, Sheheryar Munawar and Syra Shahroz starrer Project Ghazi has finally hit cinemas this weekend but not before Munawar and Shahroz exhausted themselves with film promotions all of last month, so much so that the pair recently showed up to one of their promotional activities in their pajamas! We aren’t kidding! As part of their promotional tour, the two stars decided to don their favourite pjs and show up sans makeup, with their bed hair flying about them.

While we think that it’s a little early to be promoting a film that will release roughly two months later, Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat are at it nevertheless and looking pretty good while they go through their promotional tour in America.
