The FPW red carpet for Spring/Summer 2017 may not have had a lot of star value but it had its fair share of moments for spring and summer trends. We have to say that other than the occasional celebrity that walked in on their way to the runway (many celebs present were making a starry runway appearance for their favourite designers) it was the presence of fashion bloggers and IT girls that added serious fashion flavour to the red carpet. But from the array of stars, here are some of our favourites…
Nomi Ansari with Hasnain Lehri, Alyzeh Gabol and Nooray Bhatti
Nomi Ansari participated in FP’s ten-year celebration, the Grand Finale
capsule that was saved for the very end. His choice of colourful couture pieces was,
of course, eye catching and vibrant and he chose three of the top models of the moment – Hasnain, Alizeh and Nooray – to walk in them. They also created quite a buzz
on the red carpet.
Model turned actor Noor Hassan has become quite a star, which is why he managed to wear this difficult albeit perfectly constructed green Deepak Perwani suit so confidently.
We loved Nida Azwer’s White collection, showcased in a segment devoted to Textiles and Sustainable Fashion, and so could appreciate what Nida was wearing. The handcrafted mirror-worked white peplum top was a fine example of how traditional craft can be incorporated in contemporary fashion.
Tooba Siddiqui and Anoushey Ashraf
Tooba Siddiqui and Anoushey Ashraf are FPW regulars which is why they know how to turn heads on the red carpet. Anoushey is dressed in a floor length white ensemble designed by Inaaya while Tooba rocks the Deepak Perwani gown which she wore on the ramp as well.
Rising from the ashes like a Pheonix is designer Rizwanullah, who disappeared from the limelight to focus on his health. He has now remerged several seasons later and has reminded us why we missed seeing his swag and pizazz on the red carpet.
